This wonderful project was a joy to make with my good friends Danny Grissett on piano, Lukas Oravec on trumpet, Pavel Klimashevsky as the arranger and conductor, Tomas Baros on bass and Marian Sevcik on drums.
SQUARE ONE FEATURING ANDY MIDDLETON – the Scottish band Square One, with Joe Williamson – guitar, Peter Johnstone – piano, David Bowden – bass and Stephen Henderson – drums, teamed up with Andy for a tour and recording in Scotland; this video was made in the Vienna, Austria jazz club Porgy & Bess.
AM SOLO PERFORMANCE 22.12.2020 – This recording was made in my colleague Alvaro Collao Leon’s home studio for his Chilean Sax Festival and is a group of improvised solo pieces.
AM, Jeanfrançois Prins & Joris Teepe in Slovenia – This video was recorded in 2011 while the 3 of us were teaching at a workshop in Novo Mesto, Slovenia; we were invited to play an outdoor concert, and it was really OUTDOORS! We played by a small stream and the audience sat in chairs that they brought; without the artificial lighting it was really “out in the country dark”.
